How about that, America? Instead of one group fighting for equality then being forgotten about, and another group fighting for their rights then being forgotten about, we just give every single human being equal human rights, across the board, all states, everywhere, in all things, and remember that they’re all people.
I love when people talk like this. It makes it sound like America is composed of exactly one person who has a Wand of +1 Make Everything Better which they just refuse to ever use. Because, you know, universal freedom and brotherhood is so easily obtained and so rarely goes wrong. That’s why the world is such a happy and harmonious place, right?
Right?
Right Pakistan? Right Israel? Right Quebec? Right Africa? Right Syria? Right Iraq? Right Mexico? Right China? Right Russia?
Right every nation that ever fought a civil war, every nation that has struggled with selfish cultural leaders and apathetic politicians, every nation that has blood on it’s hands from the people that came before them? Right?
Silly America, why can’t you get it right like everyone else?
