The Biggest problem I face as an aspiring cartoonist is trying to convince myself to stop worrying about how accurate everything is. In school they teach you to do everything JUST RIGHT, but the truth is that how perfectly accurate you make the anatomy is not nearly as important as how well your style communicates the desired message to the viewer.
It’s a maddening process, because there’s this little voice in the back of my head telling me that X doesn’t look right and Y isn’t wide enough and that Z is too long. I could spend hours tweaking just the length of a figure’s legs and get absolutely nowhere.
